Willie L. Foreman

Mr. W. L. Foreman (Willie), 78, of Millen passed away Saturday, January 1, 2022, at East Georgia Regional Medical Center in Statesboro following an extended illness.

Mr. Foreman was born August 6, 1943, in Millen to Cain Foreman and Adabell Badie Foreman. He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Adelle McCoy, Annie Mae Lee, Annabell Foreman; brothers, Floyd Foreman, Frank Foreman. Mr. Foreman was employed at Wincore, previously Milco Manufacturing, for over 60 years. He was a singer for 61 years, leading gospel group “Willie Foreman & the Trumpets of Joy”, previously known as “The Traveling Four” and also “The Sons of Harmony”. Mr. Foreman joined Welcome Baptist Church on September 16, 2001, and later served as Chairman Deacon.

Survivors include his sons, Steve Foreman of Ft. Lauderdale, FL, Andrus Foreman (Maria) of Atlanta, Damien Foreman (Lakia) of Lake Nona FL; daughters, Cynthia Foreman (Nickey Hicks) of Twin City, Stephanie Foreman of Ft. Mill, SC; brothers, Harrison Foreman (Mallena) of Garfield, Lester Foreman (Mattie) and Clyde Foreman (Theodosia), both of Millen, Lewis Foreman (Gwen) of Swainsboro, J. R. Foreman (Irene) of Ft. Lauderdale, FL; sisters, Jannie Mae McCoy of Garfield, Yvonn Jones (Grady) of Swainsboro, Mamie Lee Foreman of Hardeeville, SC, Linda Ford (Joseph) of Twin City, Geniese Carter (Julius) of Millen; grandchildren, Destiny Foreman, Braxton Hicks, Aija Wilson, LaNia Foreman, Antonio Foreman, Phelicia Foreman, Alicia Foreman, Andrus Foreman, Jr.; several nieces, nephews, and many friends.

Funeral Services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, January 8, 2022, at Endtime Faith Deliverance Church with Pastor Eddie Walker officiating.

Interment will follow at Jones Temple Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 2 p.m. until 6 p.m. Friday, January 7, 2022, at Chapman Funeral Home.

Pallbearers will be Damien Foreman, Clyde Foreman, Jr., Russell Foreman, Les Foreman, Charles Jordan, David Montgomery, Greg Carter, and George Culbreth.
