Mr. Willie Gene Patterson, Jr., 63, of Swainsboro passed away Wednesday, October 14, 2020 at AU Medical Center in Augusta following an extended illness.
Mr. Patterson was born July 10, 1957 in Metter, GA to the late Willie Patterson, Sr. and Dora Johnson Patterson. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Leotis Patterson; special niece, Pamela Patterson. Mr. Patterson was called “Man” by his family and friends. For many years, Willie drove big trucks and would do mechanic work on the side for different people. He loved his family and loved to go fishing in his spare time.
Survivors include his wife of 30 years, Cleo B. Patterson of Swainsboro; sons, Joshua S. Patterson, Sr. and Traavis D. (Chynyuatta) Patterson, both of Swainsboro; daughters, Kristen A. Patterson of Swainsboro, Quantasha (Gregory) Frey of Atlanta, Shameka (Nick) Rolle of Miami, FL; brothers, Thomas Patterson and Ellis Patterson, both of Swainsboro, Don Patterson of Metter; sisters, Lorine Gordon of Swainsboro, Shirley Newton of Millen, Lettie (Johnny) Allen of Stillmore, Felicia (Ronnie) Byrd of Atlanta, Tennie Phillips of Metter; grandchildren, Jerrod Steward, Joshua Patterson, Jr., Quitasia Patterson, Jayden Patterson, Christopher Cuyler, Jr., Makaylyn Cuyler, Cayden Cuyler, Deangelohe Early, Gernarius Frey, Kayla Frey, Latraavis Patterson, Deivine Patterson, Jasmine Rolle; several nieces, nephews and many friends.
Graveside Service will be Sunday, October 18, 2020 2:00 p.m. at Swainsboro City Cemetery with Pastor Wallace Turner officiating.
The family will receive friends Saturday, October 17, 2020 from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. at Chapman Funeral Home.
Pallbearers are James Lott, Nigel Cason, Kendrick Coppock, Deon Brown, Christopher Cuyler and Chris Moses.
In compliance with the guidelines set by the CDC, 6 feet rule will be enforced during visitation and service.
