Dorothy Greenway Bryant

            Mrs. Dorothy Greenway Bryant, 89, of Kite passed away Monday morning, August 15, 2017 at her residence following an extended illness.

            Mrs. Bryant was born 1927 in Emanuel County, Georgia to the late Remer Green and Elizabeth Boatright Green. She is preceded in death by her parents; husbands, C.S. Greenway, and Ernest Bryant, Jr.; brother, Paul Green; sister, Pearl Green Lively. Mrs. Bryant worked at Oxford Manufacturing for 30 plus years retiring as a supervisor. She was one of the first members of the Kite Prayer Breakfast Club. Mrs. Bryant loved playing Canasta with her family and friends. She was the oldest member of Minton Chapel Advent Christian Church.

            Survivors include her son, Randall Greenway (Cris) of Bartow; daughter, Judy G. Brantley (Mike) of Kite; step-son, Barry Bryant (Charlene) of Appling, Ga.; Step- daughters, Susan B. Deal of Bloomingdale, Carol B. Bryant of Louisville, and Sherry Morris (Dwayne) of Bartow; 13 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great granddaughters; several nieces, nephews, and friends.

            Funeral Services will be held at Minton Chapel Advent Christian Church at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, August 17, 2017 with Reverends Calvin Leavitt and Bob Rathbun officiating. Mrs. Bryant will lie in state one hour prior to service.

           Interment will follow in the Minton Chapel Advent Christian Church Cemetery.

           The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, August 16, 2017 at Chapman Funeral Home.

            Pallbearers will be Dale Brantley, Kevin Brantley, John Brantley, Mick Brantley, Charles Greenway, and Mitchell Greenway.
